Up first is the ever popular Ralph Lauren polo. This comes in two different fits; custom and classic. The former is a lot more fitted, it comes up tighther around the arms and torso for quite a nive european fit. The later fit is more boxey, it comes up quite wide with a looser fit. The new ‘big pony’ polo is a nice break from the norm with a larger pony emlbem on the chest and number detailing on the sleeves. The Abercrombie & Fitch muscle fit polo has become a regular siteing amonst private school kids and muscle mary’s in London since the arrival of the Saville Row Store in summer of 2006. It comes in a tight muscle fit that hugs the body at the arms, shoulders and chest, perfect if you’ve been putting in the hours at the gym. It is often warn tucked into the jeans as it comes up quite long at the back, but it looks good worn either way. As most do it comes in a whole spectrum of colours and is a reasonble £55. Lacoste Basic Polo

The Underrated Cheaper Option

The Lacoste Polo is often overlooked in favor of the other brands but as a cheaper option it’s not bad at all. If you don’t mind quite a baggy fit then i’d reccommend this polo. The material gives the same quality feel as the two previous tees but comes in at a wallet friendly £35-40. Get them in store at your local Lacoste.

The ‘Cool’ Alternative

All Saints Fight Club Polo

All Saints Fight Club Polo

All saints are often left out of consideration when it comes to buying polo’s but their Fight Club Polo is a tough one to beat. It has a nice slim fit and comes up quite short so it sits nicely above the jeans. It is made from good quality cotton that stretches but holds its shape. A bonus is the price, All Saints is normally quite expensive but the polo is a cool £40. It only comes in three colourways, the black, white and a bit of a dodgy green. Available at the All Saints Online shop or of course in store.

Ralph Lauren Purple Label Polo

Going All Out – Luxury Option

Being the ‘king’ of polos it is inevitable that Ralph Lauren would feature twice. This is their Purple Label Piece and if you can afford it it’d make your wardrobe a better place. It is made from a lightweight pique mesh and features interior vents to make it breathable. The fabric feels lovely, making the tee feel that bit more special than the others. The pony label has been swapped for this exlusive two pony design making it stand out amongst the hordes of other Ralph Polos. The bad news is that it’s a wallet battering £140 which is expensive for a polo, but it is Purple Label! Cop yourself one in Ralph Lauren Purple Label at Harrods.
