Brooks Brothers - Black Fleece

With an aim to bring their brand up-to-date, Brooks Brothers enlisted the help of Thom Brown - recently named GQ’s Designer of The Year (US) 2008 – to design their Black Fleece range, which has become hugely successful in diversifying and refreshing an aging label.  Although it’s technically been around since 2007, the ‘new designer’ range from Brooks Brothers hasn’t moved on to a new designer since its inception and looks to continue that trend after the collaboration was extended in July for another three years.  

Black Fleece draws from traditional elements in the Brooks Brothers heritage including such items as the Eaton Jacket and the Chesterfield Coat, and brings to them modern design with master tailoring, classic fabrics (Cashmere Madras Plaid) and a new set of colours.

Currently – on their US site at least – they are having a huge Sale including items from the Black Fleece collection.  Keep an eye out for the Cashmere Morning Jacket and the Double-Breasted Camel Hair Jacket before they sell out.
