In the Look Book section of the site we will be picking certain looks that we think are high in the style stakes, dissecting them and telling you exactly how to get the look for a price that doesn’t completely burn your wallet. The first look is one that has been quite common over 2008. The cardi, tie, shirt combo is versatile. You can dress it up with smart trousers and shoes or dress it down as Pharrell Williams has done here with some dark jeans. Pharrell has inevitably gone for high fashion Louis Vuitton in his look but click for more if you want a rundown of how to create the look for a quater of the price.
We’ll start with the shirt, he’s is wearing a classic fit cut, pink and white striped shirt. This can be found for a pultry £9.99 in your local H & M store. Unfortunately Hennies don’t do online shopping so you’ll have to pop into the store for that one.
Granted this isn’t quite a Louis Vuitton buckle belt but hey as far as this style of belt goes this is one of the coolest out there. Nice coloured brown leather with a non tacky buckle and only £15, cant complain! Find it in store or order it from the River Island Online Store.
The waistcoat Pharrell has got has a classic Louis Vuitton tweed design, a look unique to the brand and therefore without exact equal. We did, however find a great alternative available at Topman. A nice shade of brown that goes really well with the pink shirt and dark jeans. A nice slim fit completes the look. It is of course available in your local Topman or on the Topman Online Store for a bargain price of £30.
To complete the look we have these lovely indigo wash Diesel Jeans. We can’t see exactly what brand Pharrells are but it’s safe to say that you don’t get much better then Diesel when it comes to denims. These are a nice smart/casual regular slim fit which complimets the look well and £110 for Diesel jeans isn’t bad at all. Get them on the Diesel website or in one of the flagship stores in Covent Garden or Kings Road London.
We haven’t bothered identifying the tie and hankerchief as you can add your own personal touch with these. The Stylenerds would suggest a dark skinny tie and matching dark hanky but that’s just us.
