Hackett London A/W 2010 Collection

Hackett London’s latest collection for Autumn/Winter 2010 symbolises British style today.  Drawing inspiration from the most British of sporting pursuits, the collection evokes the spirit of rugby, rowing and car racing.

The collection ranges from impeccably tailored suits and shirts, through to chunky knitwear, modern tweeds and even performance garments, reinforcing Hackett’s reputation as a menswear label that seamlessly fuses tradition and modernity.

The AW10 range includes 6 main collections: Mayfair, Rally, Oxford Blues, Alpine, Winter Spa and Aston Martin Racing.

The Mayfair collection features slim fit tailored silhouettes, with flannel 3 piece suits, luxurious merino pullovers, cashmere v neck sweaters, shawl collar wool cardigans, knitted ties, double breasted woven tweed jackets, pinstripe trousers, fine gauge polos and selvedge denim jeans. The range has also launched a luggage collection with Globe-Trotter, featuring leather holdalls and briefcases.

Rally evokes the golden era of British motoring, featuring a series of racing-inspired jackets, checked shirts, long sleeved polos, duffle coats, weathered automotive inspired badges and rugged khaki holdalls alongside waxed cotton, tweed, cashmere and tartan fabrics.

The Oxford Blues collection includes wool and flannel blazers, lined with abstract Union Jacks, shawl collared cardigans and sweaters incorporating traditional crests and double faces tartan and knits in tones of regal red, navy, green, ivory and gold.  The range features varsity full zip cardigans, cable stripe rugby sweaters, collegiate stripe wool cardigans, Union Jack duffle bags, rucksacks and wash bags.

Alpine and Winter Spa collections showcase subtle hues of brown, camel and heather grey and includes the new Hackett Accessories Darby collection, which includes heather grey wool messenger and holdall bags with chocolate brown leather trim.  These collections are a nod to Hackett’s association with the Klosters Snow Polo tournament and draw from all areas of alpine activity, featuring double face cashmere knitwear, cotton cashmere checked shirting, charming fairisle knitwear, long sleeved polos, zip through sweatshirts, alpaca wool shawl neck sweaters, wool padded down jackets and gilets.

The Aston Martin Racing collection uses Union Jacks and GB logos to play on the heritage of the sport, with automotive-inspired shades and subtle details from Aston Martin Racing cars, combining design excellence with stylish, high performance sporting and casual wear.  The range features down padded parkas, striped rugby shirts, full zip sweaters, vintage duffle bags, leather holdalls and racing fleece-backed pique jackets, hoodies and long sleeved polos emblazoned with Aston Martin Racing crests and logos.
